mother-s-day-clipart-mothers-dayMother's Day rolls around the second Sunday of each May, giving us the opportunity to celebrate mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, and other mother figures in our lives. My mom always says we should celebrate her EVERY DAY, but Mother's Day gives us a chance to make it official. This year, the big day is Sunday, May 13, and we've collected a few dining-out options for you. Please let us know of any excellent Mother's Day brunches or events we haven't mentioned - we'd like to keep building our list.

It's best to make reservations for any of these Mother's Day meals - everyone wants to take their special lady out for a treat on May 13!  Just check out each website for more information about reservations, or reserve via OpenTable.com, which features many of these places.

Proximity Hotel Mother's Day Brunch

Greensboro gem Proximity Hotel offers a dazzling buffet designed and prepared by Print Works Bistro Chef Leigh Hesling and his team, featuring traditional brunch selections, carving stations, lavish salad displays, and decadent desserts.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Mother's Day, Childress Vineyards in Lexington serves up an extensive buffet featuring over 20 of mom's favorite foods and desserts, along with wines that are sweet and elegant ("Just like her," Childress Vineyard says). Afterward, join her on the dance floor with a live music performance by Emma Lee.

Di Valetta Restaurant at Grandover's "Brunch & Bubbly"

At the elegant Grandover Resort & Conference Center in south Greensboro, the Di Valetta Restaurant is hosting a Mother's Day Brunch & Bubbly event on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Every mother in attendance will receive a gift valued at $60-$75, and one lucky lady will receive a gift worth $150. Tickets required!

With a bread station, omelets and waffles made to order, She Crab Soup, Goodnight Brothers Country Ham Hash Brown Casserole, and Spring Harvest Vegetable Cast Iron Frittata, as well as favorites like Shrimp & Grits and French Toast Bread Pudding, the Mother's Day Brunch Buffet from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Winston-Salem's Graze is a can’t miss. BTW, Chef Richard Miller and his team won the Triad’s Competition Dining Series in 2015.

Steak Street

With “Big Easy” charm and a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence-winning wine list, Steak Street in High Point is consistently voted a best fine dining establishment by locals. Menus are inspired by cuisine of the Deep South and New Orleans, and the Mother's Day brunch is usually a treat.

In Winston-Salem’s arts district, 6th and Vine is known for its extensive wine list and tasty café style food. Sundays feature half-price bottles of wine and brunch items including Crab Cake Benedict, Shrimp & Grits, and chorizo sausage Breakfast Burrito.

Village Tavern

With two locations in Winston-Salem and one in Greensboro, Village Tavern is a favorite for date nights and family brunches alike. On Mother's Day, look for a variety of types of Eggs Benedict, delicious omelets, salads, and sandwiches—all “scratch made.”
