Springtime Theater Season in Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point

performing arts theaters Greensboro NCMost of the area's performing arts theaters offer a variety of shows throughout the year, and we're excited to share what's going on at several theaters this spring and early summer. We know there are other performances at places like UNCG, North Carolina A&T, Greensboro College, Guilford College, Wake Forest, and High Point University, just to name a few. What we're trying to say is the list below is just the basics. Please share your theater favorites in the comments below so we'll know what we've left out.

Carolina Theatre, Greensboro

Greensboro's Carolina Theatre offers an array of performances in music, film, stand-up comedy, and other performing arts. This spring, you can find their entire calendar here, but a couple of performances of note include:

  • Greensboro Ballet’s Coppelia. March 26, 2017, 3 p.m.
  • Illusionist Rick Thomas. April 14, 2017, 7 p.m.
  • Popovich Carolina Theater Greensboro NCPopovich: Comedy Pet Theater. April 28, 2017, 7 p.m.
  • NC Brass Band, Brass Picnic.  May 25, 2017, 7:30 p.m.

Community Theater of Greensboro

  • Grease. March 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, 31, and April 1, 2017 at 7:30PM; March 19, 26, April 2, 2017 at 2PM. For tickets and info, click here.
  • Peter Pan. April 21, 22, 26, 27, 28, 29, 2017, and May 3, 4, 5, and 6, 2017 at 7:30PM; April 23, 30, 2017, and May 7, 2017 at 2PM. For tickets and info, click here.

The CTG also has a youth theater program, which puts on several performances each season. This spring and summer, they'll be featuring Madagascar: A Musical Adventure, Jr. (dates in May) and Alice in Wonderland, Jr. (dates in June).

High Point Community Theatre

The HPCT presents all of its shows at the High Point Theatre at 220 E. Commerce St. in High Point, NC.  The final show of its 2016-17 season is Beauty and the Beast, which will be May 4 and 5, 2017 at 7:30 PM; May 6, 2017 at 2 and 7:30 PM; and May 7, 2017 at 2 PM. For tickets and info, click here.

Winston-Salem Theatre Alliance

  • Hank Williams: Lost Highway. March 24, 25, 29, 30, 31, 2017, and April 1, 2017 at 8 p.m.; March 26, 2017 and April 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. For tickets and info, click here.
  • The Last Supper: A Staged Concert. April 13 through 15, 2017 at 8 p.m. For tickets and info, click here.

Twin City Stage, Winston-Salem
