It’s important to remember that no child is the same as another, no one school is best for every child, and “popular” schools may not be the best fit for your child. Start with online research, and sure, ask other parents what works for their families. But then, once you've narrowed down your list of desirable neighborhoods to a manageable number, start visiting schools in person. There’s no substitute for scheduling a visit at the school; observing students, teachers, and classes; and asking questions while you're there.
